But the Cebu Pacific body weight counter isn't unusual for those who travel a lot.

Facebook comment's from Emmanuel Agcopra urged everyone to chill because it's free of charge.

Another comment from Doneza Maguale Quinco, a frequent flier, has these to say:

"This weigh-in is for "turbo-prop ATR" planes.. duh... they weigh people too b/c its just a small aircraft... experienced this for flights cdo-cebu..manila-mindoro... ATR stands for " Avions de Transport Regional (ATR)" its naturaly used when its like a close travel by air .. a kilo in the airport cost much. so before you complain with excess baggage.. mind weighing your baggage at home or elsewhere if you wanna avoid paying that bill."

Cebu Pacific in a press release said flights using ATR or turbo-prop aircraft also include those bound for Caticlan (Boracay), Naga, Busuanga (Coron), Siargao and Camiguin.

Cebu Pacific clearly explained on their website:

"Those traveling on ATR or turbo-prop aircraft flights are required to proceed to the body weighing counter first, before receiving their boarding pass or dropping their bags, to comply with weight and balance limitations in select airports."

Moreover, each passenger is allowed one carry-on or cabin baggage, with a maximum weight of 7 kilograms. Maximum allowed dimensions are 56cm x 36cm x 23cm for Airbus flights and 56cm x 35cm x 20cm for ATR flights.

Now we know that this is normal for ATR flights and we should read before giving any comment! Share if you care!
